The Church authorities have given permission for a single bell to be rung at churches for special occasions.
Therefore, during the coming weeks, a bell will be rung at 8.00pm on Thursday evenings as part of the weekly Clap for Carers. Don't panic - it's not the signal for an invasion!
A bell will also be rung at 7.00pm this Friday (8th May) as part of the nationwide commemorations for the 75th Anniversary of VE Day.
Hopefully it won't be too long before normal ringing can be resumed.
