Birlingham Cricket Club

Post by BirlinghamAdmin »

Message from David Clasen:

Please see ECB email below.

Unfortunately, the cricket club must remain closed in line with Government guidelines. The “relaxing” of the lockdown on Sunday/Monday (10/11 May) does not make any change to recreational cricket and therefore we must stay away. There have been a number of offers of help, regarding routine maintenance etc. but for the time being this is impractical. Martin has been maintaining the outfield/square etc. and it looks great! – He is happy isolating and therefore protecting his family.

Rest assured!!! – when cricket/related activities are allowed at Birlingham CC, we will welcome all help/participation, to kick start whatever season we are allowed.

Subject: ECB Recreational Cricket Update

Following the government update on Sunday, the ECB have released a statement regarding recreational cricket and what this now looks like in the current climate. For the full statement, please take a look on our website following this link - http://www.worcestershirecricket.co.uk/ ... ate-30111/

To highlight some keys points for you all to pass on to all members, volunteers and parents:
  • All recreational cricket is remaining suspended
  • The use of cricket nets is not permitted at all time, even those from your own household
  • Any practice or training is not permitted
As soon as any further update is released, we will pass this on.
If you have any further questions or would like further clarity, then please do not hesitate to give me a call.
