Parish Clerk For Awareness - Anti-5G Posters with sharps or blades stuck behind them

Post by June Hiden »

Message sent from: Customer Service Advisor, Highways Control Centre, Worcestershire County Council

Dear Parish Clerk,

Please see the below email for your attention:

Please see the below that was circulated earlier today by the health and safety team:

‘It’s been brought to our attention that ‘anti-5G’ protesters have been sticking posters on various street furniture including telephone infrastructure, electricity cabinets and lamp posts. Some of these posters have blades or other ‘sharps’ placed behind them, in a deliberate attempt to injure anyone who attempts to remove them.

If any posters or stickers with ‘anti-5G’ messages are found stuck to any street furniture, infrastructure, lamp posts where diffusion tubes are fixed, etc., DO NOT attempt to remove them.

If such a poster is found report it to the Police.’

There was a suggestion that the Police may not wish to be informed of all posters unless they do appear to be ‘boobytrapped’. Reports may come through the usual channels to Veolia/FMC so please advise staff to take care.

Parish Clerk update Anti-5G Posters

Post by June Hiden »

Message from Worcestershire County Council

To Parish Council

Following an email sent to you last week regarding “Anti – 5G” vandalism, I would like to provide a brief update.

This information was intended mainly for Worcestershire County Council Officers, and was provided by an organisation in London where the problem seems to be most prolific.

I would like to make it clear that we have no evidence of malicious vandalism or sabotage aimed towards 5G technology occurring in Worcestershire. If the situation changes, then you will obviously be notified in an effort to ensure members of public and Lengthsmen are kept as safe as possible while using or working on the highway network.

Please be mindful that any social media releases referring to advice from Worcestershire County Councils Health and Safety Officers is unfounded and could cause unnecessary concern to our residents.

Please stay safe, and contact me if you wish to discuss.

Kind regards

County Highways Liaison Engineer
Parish Lengthsman Scheme Manager
