Thanks to all those who took part in the litter pick three weeks ago, which resulted in about 30 bin bags of rubbish from along our verges and a much tidier village!

1. Diamond Jubilee Meeting, 23rd April
 
The next meeting to discuss the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations will be on Monday 23rd April at 7.30pm in Birlingham Village Hall. Although the plans are nearing completion, it's still not too late to get involved!
 
A full schedule of events for the Jubilee weekend of 2nd-4th June will be available shortly.

2. Jubilee Bunting Workshop, 28th April
 
There will be a workshop in Birlingham Village Hall on Saturday 28th April from 2pm to 4pm to make bunting to decorate the village for the Jubilee celebrations. All welcome - no sewing skill needed. Children, come and decorate a flag. Lots of fun guaranteed!
 
Red, white and blue material is needed to make the bunting. If you have any spare material that you would like to donate, please take it to Caryl Mills at 4 Church Street or Sadie Yeomans at The Corner House.

3. Asparagus Lunch, 20th May
 
There will be an Asparagus Lunch on Sunday 20th May in Birlingham Village Hall, 12.30pm for 1pm. Proceeds in aid of the Village Hall Roof Appeal.
 
Tickets 15 from Karen Crowther on 01386 750915. Lunch includes three courses plus coffee/tea. Wine and soft drinks will be on sale. Limited availability so book now.

4. Swan Spring Beer Festival, 18th-20th May
 
The annual Spring Beer Festival will take place at the Swan Inn between Friday 18th May and Sunday 20th May. More details nearer the time.
