Last night's Parish Council meeting covered a wide
range of topics, including:
- Road
resurfacing. County Councillor Adrian Hardman reported that
work is planned during the summer to resurface the road from the turn to
Shorthill down to Church Street and along as far as the Swan Inn.
- Litter. The Parish Council are working
with Red Star Growers and other local companies to reduce the amount of
litter on our roads and in the fields.
- Parish
Plan. The Parish Council is discussing the best way to
formulate a Parish Plan with Wychavon District Council. A Parish
Plan Committee, consisting of a cross-section of the community, will be formed
in due course.
- Lengsthman. The Lengthsman Scheme,
funded by the County Council, will continue again this year, helping us
to maintain the roads and verges in the village.

The 18th Swan Inn Beer Festival takes
place all day this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 18th-20th May. The festival
includes 22 beers and 10 ciders, with paella and barbecue on Saturday lunch time
and the regular Sunday lunch the next day.
Entertainment on Saturday evening is provided by
local band, Where's Martin, starting at 8pm.
