1. Eckington Bridge Closure

Eckington Bridge is likely to remain closed for another week. The County Council have told us:

"Unfortunately when we removed the surfacing we have found the 1928 concrete to be of  very pour quality. We have had to undertake extensive repairs to the concrete and we are unable to waterproof until this material has cured. We therefore have a revised road opening date of the 17th August. We will endeavour where possible to make up any time but unfortunately we are unable to speed up the curing process. We plan to erect information signs up at the bridge to keep people updated."

Full details of the closure are available at www.birlingham.org/docs/bridge_2012.pdf.

To read about the County Council's plans, go to www.birlingham.org/docs/broadband_survey_2012.pdf. The survey can be found at www.worcestershire.gov.uk/broadband.
