Information is requested on any suspicious activity seen in the village over the weekend.

A large (six foot square) solar panel was stolen from the roof of narrowboat Halifax at Swan’s Neck, Birlingham, some time between 10.00am yesterday (Saturday 15th) and 10.00am today (Sunday 16th). The thieves also cut through the rope holding the boat in position, which could have resulted in the boat sinking completely; fortunately it stayed in place long enough to be secured again.

If you saw any unusual vehicles in the village over the weekend, please contact West Mercia Police by dialling 101 (quoting reference 22CD15889V14) or email Steve Morris at smorris@butford.co.uk (phone 01386 751717).

Thank you to all those who took part in the Village Litter Pick on Saturday, ensuring that the village is once more free of rubbish. The accumulated pile was smaller than last year’s, so there has been some improvement over the year.

Photos of the day will shortly be available online at www.birlingham.org/village/gallery/gallery_av_14.htm.
