Please note that the roads in the vicinity of the Pram Race on Sunday 30th October will be closed.

The Eckington approach on New Barn Road will not be open from 10.50am until the race finishes (approximately 12.00 noon). The alternative route into the village will be via Upper End along Short Hill (Broadway Road) into Lower End. This will also be the route for accessing Church Street.

The Friends of St. James invite you, your friends and family to a concert of music, readings and poetry at St. James's Church, Birlingham on Saturday 12th November at 6.00pm. The concert will be followed by supper in the Village Hall.

Musical Moments is an evening of relaxed entertainment by a wide range of invited musicians, actors and poets and the main concert will be followed by easy listening to Up Beat (Maurice Sherwood’s band, as seen at the Birlingham Classic Car Rally) while you enjoy a light supper provided by village residents.

Tickets are £5 each (no concessions) and are available from either Marian Kirkland (01386 750570) or Angela Fitch (01386 751682). All profits go towards funding the suggested improvements to our church.

Please note that a mound of topsoil will be placed on the Village Green over the next few days. This will be used during the levelling and repair of the Millennium Bench.
