2. Remembrance Day Service

The Parochial Church Council and Jubilee Committee would like to thank all those who attended the Remembrance Day Service last Sunday. Well over a hundred people took part in the commemoration, which marked the hundredth anniversary of the signing of the Armistice and the end of the First World War.

The Jubilee Committee would like to thank all those who decorated the church so beautifully, helped prepare and serve the refreshments and staged the displays in the Village Hall. Full acknowledgements will be given in the Spring edition of the Bystander.

3. Birlingham in the Great War of 1914-1918

To commemorate the anniversary of the Armistice, the Jubilee Committee has co-ordinated the production of a 32-page booklet that remembers all those from Birlingham who took part in the First World War.

Birlingham in the Great War of 1914-1918 is available in the church or a copy can be obtained from June Hiden, Lamorna, Lower End or by emailing info@birlingham.org. There is no charge for the booklet but donations towards the printing costs would be welcome.
