5. Online Village Noticeboard

Do you have a fridge you’d like to sell? Do you need helpers for an event? Do you have a question that you’d like to put to the village as a whole? Or do you run a business and want to advertise a special offer? All these things can be done on the Noticeboard on the village website. Recent items have included free firewood, an event at Number 8 and a request for renting garage space, as well as advance notices of items in Birlingham News, such as the Burns Night Dinner.

The Noticeboard is accessed from a link on the main page or directly at www.birlingham.org/noticeboard. Initial registration is quick and easy, and you can opt to have new notices delivered direct to your email inbox.

Currently, the Noticeboard is still under development, and it is being tried for a few months to gauge the level of support. If you have any comments or suggestions, these can be sent to notices@birlingham.org. The Jubilee Committee is also looking for people to help run the Noticeboard, so if you can spare a few minutes each week for this simple task, please let us know.

6. Wychavon Community Recognition Awards

There are a huge number of individuals and groups in Wychavon District working voluntarily week after week, helping to run clubs and projects that make a real difference to the community.

Why not reward them and nominate them for a Community Recognition Award? You can now nominate someone whom you think deserves this by visiting the Community Recognition Awards website at https://www.wychavon.gov.uk/recognitionaward. If you would like a hard copy of the nomination form please contact Tracy Grubb on 01386 565168 or email tracy.grubb@wychavon.gov.uk.
