4. Birlingham Photography Club, Tuesday 3rd September

Angela Fitch writes:
The next meeting of Birlingham Photography Club is on Tuesday 3rd September, 7.00pm – 8.30pm, in Birlingham Village Hall.

How to photograph dogs and horses by pet photography pro Rae Prince.
If you have ever wondered how professional photographers manage to capture the ultra cute look in a dog’s face or the sinew and serenity of a horse, you need wonder no more! Rae Prince is top dog when it comes to photographing animals and whilst she will do her best with whatever the pet is, her particular photography passion is dogs and horses.

Come along to BPC on 3rd September for a glimpse into Rae’s world, who says that whilst it’s not easy to capture the perfect moment, it’s certainly not rocket science, you just need to know how. Everyone is welcome to Birlingham Photography Club. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday and it’s just £4pp per meeting, no annual fee or anything like that. More information is available at www.birlinghamphotography.co.uk or birlinghamphoto@btinternet.com or phone 07585 904636.

All are welcome, especially families new to the village. Cost is £2 per head and it is always held on the first Wednesday of the month. For more information please contact Adrianne Woodward on 01386 750936.

Entry forms should be submitted by Thursday 5th September and entry cards will be available from 4 Church Street between 6.00pm and 8.00pm on the Friday evening and in the Show tent from 8.30am on the morning of the Show.

Whether you have a misshapen veg, some shiny apples, delicious fruit cake or 12in runner beans, all entries are given due consideration, so do enter and join in the fun. The Show is open from 2.00pm, so come and enjoy what your friends and family have achieved, and have a cream tea or swift pint in the sunshine (fingers crossed).

8. Coffee Morning Thanks

Adrianne Woodward writes:
Many thanks to the people who attended the Church Coffee Morning on Saturday 4th August. It was informal: i.e. serve yourself! Delicious cake was supplied by Caryl Mills and Sue Hayward and milk was courtesy of Fran and Steve Cant – an oversight!

Generous donations meant that we raised £50 for the Children’s Society.
